This bohemian day after wedding shoot consisted of a desert land, a sun setting, and a darling couple traipsing about unafraid of the dust on their toes! He wore rolled up chinos with suspenders and she donned a lace high-low dress with side braid and unique headpiece. They wandered around, kite in hand.
I handmade this kite, adorning it with rows of lace and gold dipped feathers to give it the ultimate bohemian feel. The couple flew this kite through their wandering journey and at the end, nestled between trees, we created a lounge of poufs and pillows for this sweet pair to cuddle up on.
This shoot was featured on 100 Layer Cake!! These gorgeous images are by the one and only Jasmine Star!

We are so thrilled to have our pop of color and layers of pattern Kate Spade inspired shoot featured on Style Me Pretty! You’ve got to see the full feature here!! xo
Guys, it’s true… I have an obsession! It’s an obsession with polka dots, striped and loads of color. Although, most of you probably already knew that! One of my favorite stores, Kate Spade, constantly feeds my addiction. So when we were looking for our next unique wedding inspiration, Kate Spade popped to mind. So we put together a bold shoot that exudes color, layers of patterns, and plenty of design eye candy!
Desiring a modern feel, the location for the shoot is in an art gallery that is the perfect blank canvas to build upon. First is the ceremony! A colorful striped runner rests between the sea of ghost chairs, leading up to the aisle and (drum roll for a unique twist) continues several feet up the wall for a dramatic effect. Flanking each side of the runner are custom-built vertical flower gardens that I made from large PVC pipe… and was no small feat! Filling some of the pipes are overflowing, luscious flowers that add a soft and cascading touch to the other exposed pipes.
Next is the reception! Mimicking the ceremony runner are panels of polka dotted fabric that run under the table and up the wall. A white wood table grounds the reception area with ghost chairs giving a reveal to the fabric underneath. Lining the length of the table are flower vessels created out of PVC pipe, simply adorned with ribbon, and filled with an overabundance of gorgeous flowers. Each place setting features a unique custom placemat that was made out of plexiglass, highlighting the menu with the guest’s name and darling silverware graphics. Each plate is wrapped in a napkin and secured with a ring to create a bow. Also donning a bow is the beautiful cake with polka dots and a cascading circle backdrop. The eye-catching bride is outfitted in a stunning dress with a sweet tulle pouf that is the perfect compliment to her smashing groom in a slim fitting grey suit.

Now, wasn’t that easy?! Your turn!
There’s only one way to welcome a new sheriff in town… with some Texas lovin’! This sweet baby shower was full of design details. Each table featured a white and grey gingham runner with the most darling centerpieces you ever did see. The centerpieces were wrapped in rope and filled with cactus, and flanking each side were painted wood horse shoes displayed on standing stained wood. Sitting on each place setting was a cowboy handkerchief as a napkin, wrapped in a knotted rope for that added touch. And to top it all off, each guest went home with cute Texas themed cookies. This new sheriff was showered with lots of lovin’! Here is a peek through my nifty iPhone…
This is to be a space where dudes can come to scream and yell for their favorite sports teams. No, it doesn’t exude the typical “man cave” items like Budweiser signs, and that’s because this room has style! The goal of this room was for it be man friendly but also available to other purposes if needed – like say a load of girls want to watch The Bachelor in there, or you need it for a play room one day. But ultimately, a manly vibe was on the mind.
We decided on more masculine colors for the room, like browns and oranges. I found this incredible diamond patterned fabric in those exact colors and decided I had to incorporate it! But I ended up taking it a step further, per usual. I went for a bold look, using this fabric as wallpaper for a featured wall behind the couch. Yep, you can put fabric on walls like wallpaper with liquid starch, although it’s a big project! Hanging on the wall are a collection of paper and leather wrapped frames and white porcelain animal heads. Opposite that wall is the TV wall, where I incorporated the fabric in frames to carry the look in a more subtle way to that side of the space. The neutral couch with fun pops of pillows were a perfect contract to the somewhat wild wall. It’s both manly and stylish for any gender to enjoy!
