When I saw the latest installment of Sex and the City I was in LOVE! Those four girls never fail to inspire me with their fashion and wild adventures. Only a fellow girl can understand my feelings here, but these movies always make me laugh, cry, cringe and smile. So when Aimee and I decided to do design an inspired shoot, this was our obvious theme. Drawn from the four friend’s trip to Abu Dhabi in the second movie, we were inspired by their location, colors, culture, architecture and life. So, out of that bloomed this shoot!
We were so ecstatic when Utterly Engaged decided to feature us in their new birthday issue! In the e-mag we take you behind the scenes to show you how it all came together. We also show you how you can be inspired by non-wedding related themes, and use non-traditional elements to bring it altogether. Soooo, go check out the pics and video HERE! ..and a little here : )

Brittany & Taylor are the cutest newlyweds! While they actually wed a few months ago, they wanted some more pics to fill the walls of their new home sweet home. We wanted to recreate their Texas meets vintage wedding, so we pulled in their theme and colors and put our own styled spin on it. And of course there were some INCREDIBLE vendors that helped accomplish the whole shoot. Katie Neal Photo was the talent behind the camera, capturing each moment. The couple are friends of Katie, who started the whole idea of this inspired shoot. We Like Flowers, who are simply amazing, created the flowers to bring some life to the shoot. And finally Found vintage rentals provided all of the gorgeous furniture pieces. Love, love each piece!!

Yep, those are custom cupcake plates I created out of mini frames & string. The delicious cupcakes are homemade by the bride!

I just looove Green Wedding Shoes! So obviously I was totally thrilled when they featured us last week! Once again, I worked with the fab photography talent of Hello Studios and styled an engagement session for them. This one was all about BOOKS! Located in a local library, we captured the couple’s favorite pass time: cuddling up with a good book. Kelsey and Jake were an adorable couple! Their personal style mixed with their artistic flare created an explosion of gorgeousness on the wedding day! Inspired by the eclectic and vintage items, Kelsey put a DIY touch to the wedding. Over a series of months K+J entered every antique shop in town, collecting particular items for their wedding. Building up an impressive inventory of vases, glasses, punch bowls and door knobs, these vintage pieces were incorporated into their day. And through a project between the bride and her father, they build their own cake stands using upside down glasses and plates glued together. Every touch was simply sweet. I was so honored to be a part of their big day!

Let me just start by saying I am just obsessed with the talent of Hello Studios! So when they recently asked me to style one of their engagement sessions, well, they had me at hello (like they have never heard that one)! We took this shoot poolside to embrace all that the couple loves: summer.
